Claudia

Claudia Hinterseer is a lead video producer, lecturer, and media executive with over two decades of experience across newsroom operations, visual journalism, and educational program management. She currently serves as Lead Video Producer at the South China Morning Post (SCMP) in Hong Kong, where she oversees English-language news video production, spearheads special initiatives including generative AI and investigative projects, and helps drive audience growth across platforms reaching over 4 million YouTube subscribers.

She is also a lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University’s School of Communication, teaching graduate-level courses in Generative AI-Assisted Reporting and Entrepreneurial Journalism. Previously, Hinterseer managed the launch of a professional multimedia department at China Daily Asia and co-founded NOOR, a worldwide documentary photography agency, where she held full P&L responsibility and managed commercial operations. She has served as an education manager at the World Press Photo Foundation and sits on the subsidy committee of the Dutch Fonds Bijzondere Journalistieke Projecten (BJP Fund).
